The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU) The Plan Sponsor University offers the most comprehensive workplace retirement plan certification program for business owners, benefits specialists and other employer fiduciaries. TPSU is an affiliate of The Retirement Advisor University (TRAU). The Retirement Advisor University is a collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management. TPSU delivers half-day interactive education programs to Plan Fiduciaries, Plan Trustees, and Plan Sponsors at colleges and universities throughout the country. Attendees at classroom sessions are comprised of those individuals responsible for the oversight and management of 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, and defined benefit plans. What Occurs in Plan Sponsor Organizations Many plan fiduciaries and plan trustees are thrust into the role of plan oversight or assume the role of plan committee member as the result of who recently left the company or by virtue of their job title. The fiduciary role comes with great responsibility however there is normally very little training available for individuals who assume the new fiduciary duty. The new fiduciary responsibility and the lack of quality education available for the new role results in stress and uncertainty for the ill-equipped new fiduciary. Our Goal To educate Plan Sponsor trustees and fiduciaries by providing concentrated education in both established practices and new concepts associated with behavioral finance, retirement readiness and measuring plan outcomes. Our Place within the Retirement Industry Our unique position of serving in the role of executive educator to Plan Sponsors enables TPSU to deliver extraordinary intellectual capital developed at The Retirement Advisor University in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. Each TPSU Adjunct Lecturer holds the Certified 401(k) Professional Designation from The Retirement Advisor University.
